Feed and Prevent
Crabgrass prevention begins early in the spring. The best way to control crabgrass is by spreading a preventer in the beginning of March. Some people use the forsythia bloom to remind them to do this. We recommend our Jonathan Green product of Crabgrass and weed preventer with green-up. This serves two purposes in one application. It will treat your yard with a pre-emergent to help prevent weeds from germinating and also give your yard the much needed feeding of nutrients after a long winter. A follow up application around Memorial Day would be the optimal way to combat weeds and crabgrass through the long summer months.
For those lawn lovers that know what it’s like fighting and mowing crabgrass all summer long this approach will help minimize the crabgrass plants drastically. The best defense is in prevention. Our products can help you stay in control of your yard and keep it green and healthy all season long.
